REPs Structure and Board
REPs is governed by a board of directors, the details of which can be found below:
Kris is a free-lance trainer based in Christchurch. She has consulted and run in-house workshops to a variety of organisations including YMCA (Auckland and Christchurch), Manukau Leisure Services, Contours, CLM, Lifestyle Health and Fitness, cityfitness, Otago Poly, and Southern Institute of Technology. She has also been involved in steering groups for various projects including Accreditation of GRx, Guidelines for Children in Exercise Facilities. and more recently the TROQ review for the Fitness sector. Kris has been involved in the PT Council and completed project work for REPs notably in the area of compiling resources for trainers and facilities. Kris is the “The Interactive Instructor” book published in 2010, and she also developed an online training course called Interactive Skills Training. Kris has presented at Filex, IHRSA (US) Business Grow (NZ), FitPro Business and the FLAME conference (UK). Prior to 2004 Kris was based in the UK where she worked with a variety of UK clubs including Clubhaus (now the Club Company), Livingwell, Cannons, Nautilus and was co-owner of Bodylife - a training and publishing company. Kris was a board member of the Fitness Industry Association (UK) from 1998-2001. Kris's experience and knowledge of the industry both here and abroad gives her a good perspective to contribute to the continued forward growth of REPs as the exercise professionals elected representative.

Reporting to the board is Stephen Gacsal, the Registrar of REPs, who oversees the day to day operations of the register. Stephen has extensive management and industry experience, having previously operated businesses in the exercise industry for over 15 years.
